Job Title: Sales Assistant - KLSR TV


Position Overview

KLSR TV Eugene is looking for a full-time Sales Assistant to support our sales team! In this position you will need to successfully operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate will be a key contributor to our sales team's success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enter TV sales orders into our internal operating system while meeting strict deadlines
  • Maintain schedules and paperwork
  • Resolve any advertiser schedule discrepancies
  • Assist local sales Account Executives and Sales Managers order entry and sales activity reports
  • Perform general office duties including answering phones including the switchboard, back up for other assistants and other key clerical duties.
  • Updating station materials including media kits, program one-sheets and other sales documents.
  • Prepare post campaign reports
  • Distribution of daily sales reports and daily order entry.
  • Work with advertising agency representatives with makegoods, contracts, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • B.A. preferred or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A professional and positive attitude
  • Highly organized and possess the ability to switch focus quickly when needed and work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Accurate computer data entry skill and ability
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, able to act with a sense of urgency and adhere to set deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
  • Must be able to work in highly collaborative environment
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills providing quick response time and accurate issue resolution.
  • Results-driven and highly accountable
  • Self-directed, motivated, and with exceptional multi-tasking abilities
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales orders, written instructions
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Experience with computer keying and experience in/familiarity with broadcasting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Media experience preferred (Wide Orbit traffic system experience a plus)
