Electronics Assembler - 1st shift

Location: Milwaukee, WI - This position is not on a bus line.

Come join a company that specializes in and is known as Milwaukee's Electronics Experts! We are seeking a Level 2 Electrical Assembler to join 1st shift.

Shift Hours:
1st shift: 6:30am-3:00pm Monday-Friday

Pay Rate : $19.00-20.00/Hour

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following(Other duties may be assigned):
* Produce quality product with manual assembly processes such as stuffing, hand assembly, mechanical assembly, soldering (lead and lead-free), as well as some rework capabilities.
* Inspect to workmanship standards
* Test electronic assemblies.
* Follow appropriate quality policies and procedures.
* Perform work to appropriate efficiency and utilization standards.
* Practice and participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities, supporting change and identifying ways to improve processes and efficiency.
* Build product as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor.
* Actively participate in work group/team activities, as an enthusiastic, positive and dependable team member.
* Maintain a clean and safe work area and environment.
* Provide input to problem solving process and possess good communication skills.
* Other duties as assigned.
* The work performed in this job can only be done on site and attendance is an essential function of the job.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of one year experience in the electronics industry required.

Language, mathematical and reasoning skills:
Ability to read, speak, and understand English to enable clear communication and comprehension of internal company documentation. Basic math skills required to add, subtract, multiply, & divide. Basic understanding of & ability to read performance graphs. Able to understand and determine product quality to written documentation.

Other Requirements:
* Able to perform basic data entry transactions.
* Must achieve a passing score on the IPC Component Identification course.
* Must achieve a passing score on the IPC Workmanship standards exam.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, employee may be seated or standing, based on their work station. Employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk; Employee must frequently use hands to point, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
