Job Overview
The incumbent performs duties as the installation base enlisted training manager and plan, implement, and manage all associated programs. Work Model: Onsite/Office-Based
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Perform duties as the installation base enlisted training manager and plan, implement, and manage all associated programs.
- Ensure that required military training objectives are achieved for all assigned units.
- Oversee programs involving on-the-job training (OJT), formal school training, Professional Military Education (PME), and ancillary training. Advises commanders, UTMs and ADTMs.
- Monitor OJT programs for assigned units.
- Ensure that personnel are entered into the appropriate training status.
- Review and validate requests for retraining. Advise commanders and supervisors on matters pertaining to CDC.
- Confer with management and other key operating personnel to discuss training needs, problems, and goals.
- Act as the Distance Learning (DL) Office Point of Contact.
- Processes upgrade training, retraining, withdrawal from training, and related training actions for input into appropriate information data systems.
- Oversee administrative activities including the establishment and maintenance of administrative, suspense, and publication files and records; safeguard test materials; and prepare reports, correspondence, requisitions, and forms.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Must be qualified under the Office of Personnel Management standards for the Education Services Series, 1740 career field, Education Services Series, 1740 and Individual Occupational Requirements Degree.
- Bachelor's Degree accredited by the US Department of Education that includes or was supplemented by at least twenty-four semester hours in one or a combination of areas: counseling; tests and measurement; adult education; educational program administration; curriculum development or design; teaching methods, guidance and counseling; career planning; occupational information.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license required.
- Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
