Adjunct Instructor - Mathematics

Dunwoody College of Technology currently has the need for adjunct instructorswithin its Math & Science Department. Instructors will be responsible for delivering and maintaining curriculum in line with current industry standards and practices, advising students, developing curriculum, and building and maintaining relationships with industry. Courses are taught both online and on campus.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitates learning activities so that students learn the principles, theory, skills, and work ethic necessary to become proficient for entry level positions.
• Creates a positive learning environment.
• Monitors, assesses and advises learner on technical and academic progress and performance.
• Uses current academic and industry practices in assigned courses of instruction.
• Develops and upgrades lesson material, training aids and maintains equipment within assigned course of instruction.
• As a part of a team, designs and develops new curriculum within assigned program.
• Provides support to faculty members.
• Participates in industry and/or professional organizations in order to maintain and enhance program health and academic integrity.
• Other duties as assigned.

Potential Available Courses:

MATH1000 | Algebra & Trigonometry | Lecture (3 Credits)

Real numbers and polynomials, exponents and radicals, fractional equations; proportions and linear equations; trigonometric functions, solutions of triangles, radians, trig functions graphs, vectors, and basic identities.

Fall 2024 Semester (Classes start the week of August 26th)

Tuesday/Thursday: 12:30 pm - 1:50 pm

MATH1000 | Algebra & Trigonometry | Lecture (3 Credits)

Real numbers and polynomials, exponents and radicals, fractional equations; proportions and linear equations; trigonometric functions, solutions of triangles, radians, trig functions graphs, vectors, and basic identities.

Fall 2024 Semester (Classes start the week of August 26th)

Wednesdays: 5:30 pm - 8:20 pm

• Masters degree in Mathematics OR
• Master's degree in a field that includes at least 18 credits worth of upper level math courses
• 1+ years post-secondary teaching experience
• Ability to develop and implement curriculum effectively
