Project Engineer Mining / Business Analyst

We are seeking a Project Engineer Mining/Business Analyst to join our Worley Consulting Digital Technology team. The qualified individual will be responsible for the delivery, support, and deployment of complex Digital solutions associated with the expansion of an underground mining operation. You will also support business review activities and projects in terms of scope, budget, schedule, and client to achieve the Worley's objectives and targeted plan.

Position is based in Salt Lake City, Utah and will work with a site-based team as an individual contributor. Alternate home location will be evaluated for the right candidate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Gather and analyze business requirements from client's operation, for scopes of work.
  • Assist project team with tracking and scoping of project tasks including schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
  • Assesses procurement processes throughout the project to ensure goods meet specification, are delivered on time and are within budget.
  • Maintain strong HSE focus within the team to ensure HSE requirements are included in design and procurement.
  • Demonstrates full commitment to all health and safety matters and provides safety leadership to project team.
  • Proactively resolves performance, scope, and schedule issues with the client as they arise.
  • Engages with project team that are affected by critical decisions, which may include contractors, service providers, associated entities, other industry analysts.
  • Regularly provides clear reports and presentations of supporting data to management and design team.
  • Identifies and provides any specialized knowledge and training for the project team.
  • Technical writing and reviewing of project paperwork.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Mining, Digital Technology or Data Science from an accredited academic institution.
  • 3 years of project engineering experience or significant practical experience from on-the-job training.
  • Experience with Primavera P6.
  • Experience deploying complex Digital solution in an industrial environment is a plus.
  • Underground mining IT/OT experience is a plus.
  • Ability to cultivate, manage and develop positive relationships with internal and external project team members.
  • Highly developed written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills including facilitation and presentation capabilities.
