  • JOB ID: 4328 - Special Education Educational Assistant - PCA 2024-2025 School Year - Full-time and Part-time positions beginning 8/26/2024.
    Location: Middle and High School
    Scheduled days/hours: Standard hours are 6.75 hours/day M-F with the opportunity to work a reduced schedule or add additional hours.
    Qualifications: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and Highly Qualified status. Highly Qualified status can be achieved by completing One of the following: (1) Two year Associate of Arts degree; OR (2) The equivalent of 60-semester credits OR (3) A passing score on the MN Para Pro Test (The district can provide supported resources for completing the assessment)
    Pay Rate/Range: $16.66/hr. - $18.05/hr. (2023-2024 agreement) Base pay plus a $2,500 stipend for PCA work. The stipend is prorated for less than 6 hours/day and is distributed evenly over the annual paychecks.
    Deadline: Open Until Filled -- EOE (7/16/2024) - Employment is contingent upon completion of a background check and a required pre-work screening.

    ***This position may also include an annual offer for summer employment. In cases when summer employment is not offered or is not comparable to school-year employment, an employee in this position may have access to unemployment insurance during the summer break depending on individual circumstances as determined by the state agency.***

    Responsiblities: Will work under the direction of a licensed teacher to provide supervision of and support for students with special needs as indicated in Individual Education Plans. Services are provided both in general education and special education settings. ***Educational Assistants regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible to receive district insurance benefits.***
