Our Appleton client is seeking a skilled individual to join their team working as a Machine Operator! This person will play a vital role in their manufacturing process, operating and maintaining machines to produce high-quality plastic products. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in machine operation and has strong attention to detail. Responsibilities:
- Setting up machine by loading rolls of product with an overhead crane, webbing it, making adjustments as needed
- Making changeovers of die cut plates
- Adjust machine temperature, speed, and pressure setting as necessary to maintain the quality of parts
- Pulling finished product off the end of the conveyor belt, quality inspecting, stacking and packing into boxes
- Could also be punching out holes into the product
- Weighing product per client requests
- Making up boxes and inserting a plastic liner into them
- Removing rolls of scrap product from the machine
- Palletizing product for shipping
- Record work order information by use of scanners as well as hand written documentation
- Keeping area clean and organized
- Other duties as assigned
General Information: Hours: Training is on 1st shift - 7:30am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 7:30am-2:00pm on Fridays Once trained will go to 2nd shift - Monday-Thursday, 4:00pm-2:30am Length: Temp to Hire Pay: $20.00 Location: Appleton Job ID: 199922 #Appleton1
Requirements:
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent is required; or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior machine operation and changeover experience is required
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Interested candidate must be highly motivated
- Must keep work area clean and organized at all times
- Ability to work independently and/or as a team
- Must abide by all safety and security procedures
- Ability to add and subtract up to 4 digit numbers, multiply & divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to use a counting scale and be able to read a tape measure
- Bend, twist, rotate, lift up 25lbs regularly, up to 50lbs frequently, and up to 100lbs occasionally
- Vision abilities required for this position include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
