Clariant is currently looking for a Global Innovation Manager to support the Care Chemicals business unit in The Woodlands, TX. The Global Innovation Manager is primarily responsible for driving innovation strategies across our global operations to enhance flow assurance processes. They will lead a technical team that supports existing business and products for gas hydrates, asphaltenes, and paraffin waxes. This role requires a deep understanding of flow assurance principles, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement innovative solutions. Responsibilities

* Act as the global technical contact for all flow assurance, product related requests

* Provide support to sales and marketing colleagues

* Collaborate with direct reports to design lab tests

* Troubleshoot technical challenges related to product and/or process issues

* Remain up to date on developments in flow assurance and monitor literature and patents from competitors, customers, and suppliers

* Prepare new patent applications and strengthen Clariant's position through the development of new technologies

* Meet with customers, suppliers, and researchers and attend conferences as a contributor

* Structure work in the form of presentations and reports to be presented to customers and at conferences

* Prepare manuscripts to be published and presented at conferences

* Provide technical support in the field and laboratory when required

* Maintain documentation and report storage and ensure adherence to all ISO requirements

* Write and defend patents and develop an IP strategy for the field of flow assurance

Requirements

* Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related subject; a PhD in a relevant discipline is preferred

* 10+ years of experience in flow assurance R&D for gas hydrates and/or paraffin waxes

* 3-5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role, preferred

* Exhibit strong attention to detail and good analytical thinking

* Excellent problem-solving skills and flexibility

* Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with different stakeholders
