We have a great opportunity for an experienced , motivated Senior Level Calibration Technician with a strong background in the electronics test and measurements sector to join our team in Santa Clara, CA!

In this role you will:

  • Perform calibrations on high level and unique test and measurement instrumentation
  • Use your troubleshooting, repair, and calibration knowledge to work on unique equipment
  • Help interact with customer to determine needs relating to traceability, adequacy of standards and test procedures utilized by Trescal Inc., as well as, for items requiring repair or limited calibration
  • Interface directly with customers to determine needs relating to traceability, adequacy of standards and test procedures utilized by Trescal Inc. as well as for items requiring repair or limited calibration
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance of the laboratory's equipment is performed in a timely and acceptable manner,
  • Managing work load distribution for the technicians within his/her sphere of influence when the Laboratory Manager is not available.
  • Performing daily inspections of the incoming equipment to verify: accessories and manuals are available, malfunctions of customer instrumentation, and to change equipment status when appropriate

Requirements

  • Military calibration training & work experience PMEL OR TMDE) OR AS Degree in a technical field OR equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience calibrating test & measurement equipment in a commercial or military calibration laboratory.
  • Experience in calibrating multiple disciplines of Test & Measurement Equipment; i.e.: Electrical/Electronics - DC/low
  • Prior use of Network Analyzer
  • Strong understanding of microwave and RF principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workload

Experience Calibrating the following would be a plus!

  • Calibrating EMI receivers, power sensors, LISN, and CDN
  • Understanding of test codes such as IEC-61000 series
