Responsibilities

MTSI Multi-Level Security digital team is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to be responsible for working on both the front-end and back-end development processes in support of Sentinel Program for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) under the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC). Approximately 90% of time will be supporting Software management and oversight of software capability development and early systems engineering analyses for AFNWC. This position will be a part of the team of engineers, developers, program managers, Information Technology SME's, Information Assurance / Cybersecurity SMEs, and other professionals supporting agile software development using DevSecOps platform delivery for the organization. The additional 10% of time will be supporting and leading internal company specific strategic initiatives helping to establish MTSI as a leader in Agile software development support and services.

Travel within CONUS may be required up to 50%.

Duties:

  • Develop, prototype, and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform services
  • Coordinate closely with team members, Agile Program Mangers (APMs) and Scrum Project Managers (SPMs) to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases.
  • Analyze (though proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs.
  • Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices.
  • Use industry leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting.
  • Document and Perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments leverage GitFlow constructs.
  • Communicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness.
  • Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities
  • Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.
  • Develop and maintain databases and APIs to support application functionality and data integration.
  • Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in full stack development and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Experience with Full Stack Web Services, Client-Side development, or Algorithm development
  • 5+ years' work experience developing in C++ or Java
  • Strong software development background with Typescript, C#, .NET core, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
  • Proficient with common Agile practices, service-orientated environments, and development practices
  • Experience in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices
  • Direct experience utilizing software testing performance tools, such as Junit
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Bash
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and tempo
  • Experience with development in Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
  • Experience with development leveraging cloud data services (ex: S3, RDS, EFS)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Well versed with using version control systems.
  • Well versed with using issue/problem tracking systems.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active security clearance (e.g., Secret, Top Secret) required

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel monthly.
