Responsibilities

The Knowledge Manager will manage process of planning, coordinating, managing, sharing, and controlling organization's data assets.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Develop and implement a knowledge management strategy, ensuring seamless information flow and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
  • Establish guidelines and procedures, within DoD regulations, for capturing, organizing, and maintaining organizational knowledge.
  • Collaborate with various directorates and project teams to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Educate employees on the purpose and process of knowledge management, ensuring they understand how to effectively use knowledge management tools.
  • Manage and monitor the functionality and performance of knowledge management systems and tools.
  • Encourage the capture of new knowledge and insights, helping to incorporate them into the organization's knowledge base.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and effectiveness of the knowledge management strategy, using analytics to measure impact and user engagement.
  • Collaborate with digital/IT teams and functional leaders to identify, build, or procure systems that enable the creation and sharing of knowledge.
  • Provide strategic input across multiple processes, driving the integration of tools and systems, and shaping the organization's culture and attitudes towards knowledge management.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts from customers, partners, and stakeholders to develop and maintain high-quality content.
  • Ensure the accessibility and flow of information within the organization and to external parties, adhering to security and privacy guidelines.
  • Continuously improve and update knowledge management tools, ensuring they remain functional and up-to-date with current trends and industry best-practices.
  • Act as a positive representation of ICO to customers, partners, and stakeholders

Qualifications

Qualified Candidates Will Have:

  • 10 years' experience.
  • Completion of Knowledge Operations Management initial skills course
  • Experience of data architectures; records staging operations; and knowledge management capabilities.
  • Experience performing or supervising functions such as knowledge management planning; liaison/outreach between units and customers and information integration/presentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills

Tools used and must be Expert:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Teams
  • Jira
  • Confluence
  • Adobe acrobat

Familiarity with:

  • Airforce evaluation system
  • Army evaluation system
  • OSD Staff Action Officer process

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field OR 4 more years experience in lieu of a degree.

Clearance requirement: Top Secret with SCI (TS/SCI)
