Summary or Description:

Researches, develops, designs, and tests a variety of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial purposes. Lead responsibility for the technical direction of a group of engineers or functions as a technical specialist formulating and developing advanced engineering concepts, techniques, and standards. Develops solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.

Purpose:

Performs as Lead Engineer on large capital projects, develops and maintains man-hour budgets, manpower requirements, and project schedules.

Responsibilities:



  • Develops a full understanding of the project scope and procedures.
  • Supervises the Electrical engineering and design personnel assigned to his project.
  • Assigns work to Electrical personnel, ensuring the best utilization of their knowledge and capabilities.
  • Monitors the engineering and design efforts on his project to ensure compliance with Client, Worley and industry standards.
  • Assists the Section and Department Managers in the performance evaluation of Electrical personnel under his supervision.
  • Establishes drawing requirements, project procedures, and controls, stressing continuity within all disciplines.
  • Completes the Electrical Survey form and develops the Design Basis document.
  • Forecasts manpower requirements to maintain the job schedule.
  • Continues development of his personal knowledge, skills, and potential, both technical and supervisory.

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:



  • 12+ years' of experience designing chemical, petrochemical, and/or similar facilities required.
  • Lead engineer capabilities required.
  • Strong Electrical Engineer abilities and background required.
  • Knowledge of SKM/ETAP preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with NEC requirements required.
  • Experience with HV, MV and LV systems required.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) required.



Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:



  • Recognized Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in engineering or technical field from an accredited college or University required.


Preferred:



  • P.E. License preferred.
