Job Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for an early career Environmental Engineer in our Honolulu, HI office.

What you will do:

The early career Environmental Engineer will support a wide range of multidisciplinary projects in Hawaii and elsewhere throughout the Pacific region.

Specific responsibilities include:



  • Support projects in conducting field surveys, environmental sampling/studies (soil, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, stormwater, and air).
  • Prepare associated planning documents and reports for sites impacted by various chemical constituents that include perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
  • Support regulatory compliance under state and federal programs as well as commercial clients.
  • Assist in planning activities and documents.
  • Execute fieldwork and perform subcontractor oversight.
  • Analyze and tabulate data.
  • Provide engineering calculations and design services.
  • Prepare reports for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects including preliminary assessments, site/ remedial investigations, and remedial designs, etc.

Note: Possible travel to neighbor islands and other locations throughout the United States.

What you will need:



  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering.
  • 0-3 years of industry experience.
  • Engineer-in-Training certificate preferred.
  • Critical thinking and technical writing skills, including the ability to convey information at an appropriate level of communication with varying levels of project staff.
  • Willingness to conduct field work in varying field conditions (hot, humid, stormy, etc.).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment across technical disciplines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, GIS mapping, and/or AutoCAD.
  • Current OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPER, and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred.
  • Willingness to travel locally and out of state.

Anticipated salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year.
