Job Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for a mid-level Environmental Engineer in our Brighton, MI office.

What you will do: The mid-level Environmental Engineer will support site characterization and remediation projects for federal and private clients across the Great Lakes region and elsewhere.

Specific responsibilities include:



  • Support projects from the site characterization scoping process through remedial actions. Technical and cost proposal development.
  • Engineering analysis and design.
  • Preparation of reports and bid documents.
  • Construction administration support for diverse and challenging projects. Business Development support.
  • Site investigation planning and field team management.
  • Participation in site investigations such as remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, and remedial actions.
  • Management of subcontractors.

What you will need:



  • B.S. degree (M.S. degree preferred) in environmental, civil, geotechnical, coastal engineering, or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training certificate with the ability to obtain a PE preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Experience with site characterization and remediation projects, including knowledge of the CERCLA process and demonstrated project management ability.
  • Ability to work with clients from the commercial, federal, state, and local government sectors.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Report writing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a team environment across technical disciplines.
  • Prior experience with multi- disciplinary projects and successful implementation of individuals role and an interest in environmental sustainability role in environmental cleanups preferred.
  • Willingness to work in both a field and office settings and amenable to environmental sampling and other field activities to provide oversight and training of early career staff.

Anticipated salary $70,000 - $90,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
