Government Relations & Grants Mgmt Coordinator, Full Time, Day shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Government Relations & Grants Management Coordinator supports the organization in matters related to federal and state health-related legislation, regulations, and concerns before the U.S. Congress, State Legislature, Governoris office, federal, state and governmental agencies. This position coordinates interactions with and participates in responding to and resolving inquiries from federal and state representatives and governing bodies on matters related to grants management, policies and program operations. Aids in planning and implementing grant programs, preparing budgets, researching funding opportunities, monitoring expenditures, identifying support agencies, tracking results, monitoring compliance, and analyzing financial data.
EDUCATION:
Bacheloris degree required. Advanced graduate work to include MBA or MHA preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 5 years government relations and grant writing or grant management experience within a healthcare related field required.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
* Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to establish, develop and enhance professional relationships within the organization and with external entities. * Highly effective in strategic and financial planning, administrative responsibilities, and processes. * Detail oriented * Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and software applications * General knowledge of healthcare regulations and familiar with the stateis healthcare landscape, including market competitors, applicable agencies and officials.
