Duties of a Instructional Support Assistant in the Customer Service Center for the Department of Laboratories may include the following but are not limited to:
Qualifications Required: Phlebotomy Certification by a technical training program. Two years of Phlebotomy experience with at least one year of Pediatric Phlebotomy experience. Customer competency with knowledge of laboratory and hospital information systems. Customer service experience in a clinical setting. Knowledge of insurance providers, ICD-10 CM Coding, medical necessity, medical terminology and outpatient registration processing. Preferred: Associates degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology. Two years customer service experience in a clinical healthcare setting. In lieu of degree, four years of clinical laboratory experience to include a year of customer service experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
