Position overview: The Associate Marketing Development Representative (MDR) is an essential entry-level role within the sales organization at Teaching Strategies. This role is designed for individuals eager to develop their careers in sales and marketing. The Associate MDR will primarily focus on managing inbound sales phone lines and supporting the MDR team during periods of high activity. Your work will directly contribute to converting marketing-generated leads into valuable sales opportunities, ultimately driving revenue growth.

Specific roles and responsibilities:



  • Inbound Sales Call Management: Handles inbound sales phone lines with efficiency and professionalism, providing prospects with the information they need and qualifying their level of interest.
  • Lead Qualification: Assists in the qualification of marketing-generated leads by assessing their needs and determining the appropriate next steps, ensuring a seamless handoff to the sales team.
  • Support During High-Volume Periods: Provides additional support to the MDR team during peak times, managing overflow tasks and maintaining response times to ensure all leads are handled promptly.
  • Lead Triage: Directs leads to the appropriate departments or delivers value-driven assistance to set the stage for effective sales follow-up and potential future sales.
  • Process Improvement: Develops and refines templates for lead responses and use automation tools to enhance response times and overall lead management.
  • Collaboration: Works closely with the marketing, sales, and operations teams to share insights and improve lead quality and funnel processes.
  • Continuous Learning: Engages in ongoing training to become well-versed in the company's products, industry, and customer needs, enabling you to effectively articulate the value proposition to potential customers.
  • Occassional domestic travel


Qualifications:



  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A keen interest in education, edtech, early childhood programming, or private childcare.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with sales engagement platforms like Salesloft (preferred but not required).


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Knowledge of Teaching Strategies solutions and products.
