As a Kids Club Staff Member, you are responsible for creating a caring and safe environment for our youngest participants who visit the Kids Club drop-in babysitting room. You will provide supervision for each child who visits by engaging in play and curriculum-based activities while maintaining a safe space as parents utilize the facility at the Y. Our Kids Club staff build positive relationships with members, program participants, guests, and children, greeting them by name and making them feel welcome and safe as the regularly utilize this service as part of their membership.

To thrive in this position, you have experience supporting the supervision of youth at play or in a structured program and understand the growth and development of children infants through elementary school. You enjoy engaging with members of the community and are able to communicate in a positive and effective way including positive redirections to children. You are creative and have the ability engage children in activities that inspire interest and maintain their attention. You are empathetic and compassionate, supportive of all our participants unique needs. Additional hours may be available supporting our licensed preschool program for eligible candidates.
