Director Strategic Planning, Orthopedics

position offers the outstanding opportunity to engage with leadership across the globe to help set the future course of the Franchise. As a leader in the organization, the Director is also involved in key initiatives such as portfolio assessments, M&A discussions, and investor communications.

Responsibilities include: leading the annual planning process, partnering with cross-functional leaders to ensure strategy execution, preparing executive level communications and presentations, handling key market research initiatives.

The position requires leadership to foster a team culture, one that supports and promotes collaboration across the franchise to ensure an aligned commercial approach. Strong communication skills are essential to develop high- level presentations and connect with executive leadership team.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the franchise planning process: Develop process, timelines and key deliverables, plan global strategy meetings to ensure alignment, build executive level presentations to communicate strategy and financial plans. (30%)
  • Lead franchise performance assessment through governance meetings: Collaborate with leadership to develop meeting structure, connect with stakeholders to develop and supervise critical metrics, efficiently lead meetings to ensure alignment and strong collaboration. (20%)
  • Prepare executive level communications: Analyze and report financial performance, communicate business intelligence, develop presentations to convey strategy and franchise priorities (20%)
  • Run key market research projects: Partner with global marketing to define market research needs, identify research vendors, and ensure research output aligns with objectives (15%)
  • Participate in strategic projects which may include M&A assessments, strategy/portfolio deep dive assessments, market expansion initiatives (15%)

Location: Andover, MA

Education: Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred

Experience:
  • 5+ years of marketing experience in Sports Medicine, Orthopedics
  • 2+ years experience in strategy, planning, or consulting preferred.
  • Proven experience and proficiency in developing executive level presentations and ability to concisely summarize complex issues/technical data.
  • Experience in franchise planning, project management, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or executing market research projects preferred
  • Results-driven approach with self-motivation, ethics, positive attitude and professionalism.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Ability to influence and attain collaboration at all levels in an organization
  • Consultant mindset

  • Strong project management skills

Travel Requirements: 10-20%
