Scope of Position

EDF Renewables North America is a market-leading independent power producer and service provider with over 35 years of experience. We deliver grid-scale power: wind (onshore and offshore), solar photovoltaic, and storage projects; distribution-scale power: solar and storage; asset optimization: technical, operational, and commercial expertise to maximize the performance of generating projects, and onsite solutions, through the Company's PowerFlex affiliate, offering a full suite of onsite energy solutions for commercial and industrial customers: solar, storage, EV charging, energy management systems, and microgrids.

Primary responsibilities include coordinating title activities as dictated by regional needs and by working with corporate legal department, title insurance companies, project developers/managers, and acquisition staff.



Responsibilities

    Work with corporate legal department, land acquisition, project developers, title companies, and other contractors on land and lease issues such as:
    • Providing vesting and legal descriptions in support of land acquisition and asset management
    • Reviewing title commitments and identifying encumbrances and flaws for M&A and greenfield projects.
    • Maintaining records of completed and outstanding documents.
    • Provide early site acquisition support to land acquisition and development team, which includes identifying potential landowners, obtaining ownership and tax records, researching local recording regulations and reviewing documents for adherence to those regulations.
  • Process title documentation related to change of ownership, change of address, terminations, invoices, scopes of work and change orders.
  • In coordination with Title Management, update and maintain title data rooms, title assignment tracker, survey bid and mineral bid trackers, and other title databases as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • 90% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment.
  • 10% of time is spent outside of the office visiting landowners or project sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.


Qualifications

Education/Experience -

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience in title insurance, real estate, or leasing contract management
  • Paralegal or renewable energy experience a plus
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities -

  • Takes initiative, is self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Must be comfortable in M365, experience with Salesforce and Smartsheets preferred
  • Capable of multi-tasking and managing more than one project at a time
  • Adaptive, able to work on an undefined project and quick to learn
  • Ability to work within a team of land development professionals and to prioritize tasks within each project to meet the needs of the team

This role's annual base salary range is between $50,500 and $84,500.
