About the Role:

The IT Business Partner will be fully dedicated to the Legal and Compliance functions. In this role, you will align technology solutions with the strategic objectives of our growing company and translates Legal and Compliance business needs into efficient, effective, scalable IT solutions reducing manual intervention.

In addition, you will plan, execute and manage (new and/or enhancements to existing) Legal and Compliance technology solutions, including Global Transparency Reporting System, Risk Based Field Monitoring System, Electronic Learning Management System, EthicsPoint Hotline and Incident Management System, Contract Management System, Patent Docketing System, platform for review of Sponsorships and Grants, platform using AI for compliance monitoring of electronically stored information (email, text, instant messaging), and manages Legal Holds on electronically stored information.

The IT Business Partner manages internal and external resources to support project work and systems support.

Essential Functions:

  • Leverage experience in pharmaceutical IT business environment to collaborate closely with Legal and Compliance business partners translating business needs into effective system and data requirements

  • Conduct and document business requirements analysis, design and implementation

  • Plan, execute and manage data collection and integration from multiple enterprise systems (ERP applications such as Coupa, NetSuite, Concur, Workday, Veeva, Commercial Data Warehouse, etc.) for Legal/Compliance technology solutions.

  • Create and maintain detailed mapping of data flows from source data to Legal and Compliance systems

  • Assist with management of vendors and internal colleagues conducting work on assigned projects, ensuring their deliverables are in alignment with the agreed scope and business requirements while maintaining positive and collaborative working relationships.

  • Monitor project progress, ensuring quality standards are met and deliverables are on track

  • Lead cross-functional activities including discovery sessions to identify gaps and opportunities for the information systems/tools

  • Partner with the Legal and Compliance teams to plan for future needs and work with internal IT staff and/or external partners to deliver those IT solutions

  • Act as a technical liaison, ensuring business needs are properly translated into technical requirements

  • Assess the current Legal and Compliance systems environments and identify and help implement process and/or system changes that enhance effectiveness

  • Lead and initiate troubleshooting quality / functionality issues associated with Legal and Compliance systems to ensure the success of application system projects

  • Partner with the Legal and Compliance teams to drive and project manage overall technology demand in accordance with business priorities, funding and resource allocations

  • Leverage data analytics tools to analyze datasets, identifying trends, anomalies, and potential compliance risks, as requested

  • Support the IT department budget process by maintaining clear understanding of stakeholder needs to provide strategic feedback on IT resource allocation decisions during budgeting and strategic planning processes

  • Develop sound and robust purchasing contracts with vendors to improve reliability and cost-effectiveness in system acquisition and support

  • Proficient in planning, developing, and implementing business systems solutions.

  • Knowledgeable in project management and business requirements gathering.

  • Strong data analytical skills, including data structure, querying, transformation, reporting, and troubleshooting.

  • Familiar with industry practices, technology trends, budgets, customer services, client/stakeholder relationships, contract development, data management and analytics, and vendor management.

  • Ability to work as part of and/or lead multiple teams

  • Excellent communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking skills

  • Sees broader picture and longer-term impact on division/company

  • Ability to cultivate cooperative relationships with departments and IT staff.

  • Proficient in agile/iterative software development and SaaS/cloud tools.

  • Experienced in managing the launch of enterprise-wide systems, leading cross-functional teams, and developing business requirements and user stories.

Experience and Education

  • BS/BA degree in computer science, business or related field and 6+ years of IT experience within pharmaceutical/regulated environment OR Master's degree in computer science, business or related field and 4+ years of IT experience.

  • Experience Managing the launch and/or upgrades of enterprise-wide systems and tools.

  • Agile/iterative development process experience desired.

  • Managerial or leadership experience preferred.

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $125,700.00-$182,250.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
