About the Role:

Identify, foster, and maintain relationships with Health Care Providers (HCPs) (i.e., MDs, NPs, PAs, Pharmacists) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to communicate and advance Neurocrine science in alignment with the overall corporate strategy. Support scientific congresses, train faculty for speaker's bureau, and be a resource for medical and scientific inquiries. Additionally, this role will support focused activity with educational programs, patient advocacy groups, key community-based mental health networks with specific experience in long-term care (LTC) facilities. The ideal candidate will live in WA or OR next to a major airport and be able to travel to WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, ND, SD.

Your Contributions (include, but not limited to):
  • Identify and foster strong relationships with local, regional, and national KOLs

  • Develop relationships within national and state level professional organizations (i.e., APNA, AANN, GAPNA, AAPA, ASCP) and partner to support education

  • Engage with patient advocacy team and present disease state education upon request during patient advocacy events (i.e., MHA, NAMI)

  • Keep current in latest literature and research within therapeutic area to facilitate meaningful clinical/scientific interactions

  • Plan and execute appropriate regional and national programs for education based on input from the KOL community

  • Identify and recommend research or project sites

  • Identify and communicate educational opportunities and market developments to internal partners

  • Be a scientific resource for HCP's and internal Neurocrine personnel

  • Maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Identify gaps in knowledge across a range of practice settings and providers

  • Attend, support, and provide insights from medical/nursing congresses relevant to therapeutic area

  • Identify gaps in Advanced Practice Provider training and assessment as related to patient care (e.g., working with academic programs)

  • Provide feedback on and recommendations for resources to support CPLs in the field (i.e., slides, publications, etc.)

  • Timely entry of customer interactions into MSL System of Record

  • Complete assignments and reports by deadlines

  • Performs responsibilities with the highest ethical standards including FDA guidelines, Pharma Code, healthcare compliance/SOPs and best practices for the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Nursing degree or equivalent and 8+ years of relevant experience in Psychiatry, Neurology, Long Term Care, academic or clinical practice experience preferred, and 1+ years experience in industry liaison role preferred (eg, MSL, CSL) OR

  • Master's degree, NP, DNP, CNS, PA, PharmD or equivalent and 6+ years of relevant experience in Psychiatry, Neurology, or LTC academic or clinical practice experience preferred, and 1+ years experience in industry liaison role preferred (eg, MSL, CSL)

  • Therapeutic Area clinical expertise in Psychiatry, Neurology, specifically LTC

  • Maintains advanced practice licensure and certification per individual state requirements

  • Strong communicator and skilled diplomat in all venues, including the ability to effectively combine scientific knowledge and communication skills

  • Ability to build and foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to always represent NBI in a professional manner

  • Ability to follow fiscal guidelines

  • Able to work independently as appropriate.

  • Has knowledge of best practices in the functional discipline and familiarity with the broader underlying concepts of related business disciplines

  • Works to improve tools and processes within functional area

  • Developing reputation inside the company as it relates to area of expertise

  • Ability to work as part of and lead multiple teams

  • Exhibits leadership skill and ability

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $157,700.00-$228,875.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
