The Space and Intelligence Division provides professional services to the US Space Force, Combatant Commands, Intelligence Community, and NASA. The Intelligence Programs Group (IPG), part of SPA's Space and Intelligence Division, is a specialized provider of systems engineering and trusted advisory services to the Space and National Intelligence community. We utilize mission-proven, data-driven advisory tools and capabilities. We provide highly technical support to ensure the government acquires cutting edge technology necessary for our National Defense. Our portfolio includes the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). SPA has an immediate need for a Lead Systems Administrator.



Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

    Continuous Monitoring & Security: Implement and manage continuous monitoring within authorization boundaries, utilizing the ICD 503 Security RMF Framework to enhance our security posture.
  • System Administration Support: Offer comprehensive Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support, facilitating issue identification, diagnosis, and resolution across diverse system environments.
  • Customer Support & Service Management: Efficiently respond to service requests via telephone and the Jira ticketing system, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Cloud & Device Management: Direct the operation, configuration, and maintenance of cloud-based devices, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Maintenance & System Diagnostics: Develop preventive maintenance schedules, manage user accounts, and perform system diagnostics to ensure hardware and software integrity.
  • Security Enforcement & Updates: Apply strict enforcement of security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and implement necessary system hardening and patching.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Generate regular reports on system performance, security posture, and incident resolutions, providing transparency and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, present system updates, and align system operations with organizational goals.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI
  • Ability to sit for, and pass, a CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, with 4+ years of relevant experience (equivalent professional experience may substitute for the degree requirement)
  • Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
  • Proven expertise in systems administration practices, including server and workstation upgrades and maintenance planning
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of Windows and Linux systems administrators

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within the NRO or an equivalent Intelligence Community (IC) environment
  • Advanced knowledge in AWS Operations and Maintenance
  • Understanding of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
