The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
We have a near-term need for an OPIR Program Analyst to provide onsite support at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. Responsibilities The Program Analyst will support the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategic, Space, and Intelligence Portfolio Management (DASD (SSIPM)) in the Space and Missile Defense (SMD) Directorate. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the remote sensing portfolio focusing on Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and space-based environmental monitoring mission areas. The ideal candidate will apply deep Defense Acquisition expertise, and experience with programs including Next Generation OPIR, Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS), DoD Weather satellite programs, Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE), and Enterprise Ground Service (EGS) architecture. Will support major DoD staffs and senior leaders, develop decision-ready material for senior leaders, and apply the initiative to navigate headquarters and acquisition processes to support the DASD portfolio management responsibilities. Qualifications Required:
7+ years of acquisition, design, or operational experience with OPIR and space-based environmental monitoring
