SPA has an immediate need for a Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist. The TA Specialist will assist with sourcing, vetting, and hiring contingent and pipeline candidates as SPA continues to expand. They will partner with the SPA functional leads to determine staffing needs and to recruit, interview and hire prospective new employees. Responsibilities

The TA Specialist will review job orders and employment applications to match applicants with job requirements. They will review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements. They will select job applicants, confirm their qualifications, and refer them to hiring managers, making recommendations when appropriate. This will require the TA Specialist to understand functional area hiring needs, position specifications, and parameters of search requirements. They will post available positions inside and outside of SPA in compliance with company policy, procedures and federal and state laws.

In addition, the TA Specialist will search for candidates using various sources such as databases, internet recruiting resources, networking, job fairs, media advertisements, recruiting firms, and employee referrals. They will also interview job applicants as part of the screening process to get information on their work history, job skills, training and education, and inform them of the position's duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits and working conditions. They will serve as the liaison between candidates, hiring managers and human resources staff.

The TA Specialist will maintain accurate documentation on all candidates and searches through applicant tracking tool as well as track metrics regarding recruiting activity in compliance with company policy and procedures, federal and state laws. A creative recruiting professional with the ability to proactively research and investigate new ideas to create innovative sourcing strategies is desired.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter/TA Specialist, with extensive experience and knowledge of DoD clearances, OFCCP rules and regulations and government contracting. Specific experience recruiting for finance and accounting roles, including PCAs, is required.
  • Hands-on experience with various interviewing formats (e.g. phone, Teams and structured panel interviews).
  • Knowledge of internet research, including sourcing and database mining techniques.
  • Experience posting available positions in compliance with company policy and procedures and federal and state laws is required.
  • Must be self-motivated and results driven with ability to communicate with candidates and hiring managers effectively/efficiently; excellent collaboration skills are needed in this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in an HR related field.
  • AIRS certificates
  • iCIMS ATS experience.
  • Prior support filling support staff roles (e.g., contracts, IT, HR, Finance & Accounting in a government contractor setting).
