The School of Social Work (SSW) in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Missouri (MU) - Columbia invites applications for individuals interested in supporting and coordinating practicum experiences for students. The position is for an Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor which is a 12-month, 1.0 FTE Ranked, Non-Tenure Track teaching appointment. Hybrid or remote employment options may be considered. Qualifications
Qualified candidates should possess at minimum a Master's of Social Work (MSW) and 5 years post MSW social work experience, including experience with field education, specifically as a faculty liaison and/or substantial supervision of social work students in field placements. Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to teach Practice and Clinical courses as well as a comfort with teaching online classes. Strong written and verbal skills are necessary. Evidence of service systems and agencies across the state of Missouri is beneficial as well. Candidates should be comfortable using Office applications, e.g., MS Word and MS Excel, along with online database systems. Exceptional problem-solving and collaboration skills as well as the ability to manage multiple demands and responsibilities simultaneously are important. Anticipated Hiring Range

MU School of Social Work has 23 faculty (52% tenure/tenure track and 48% non-tenure track) and two full-time staff as well as staff dedicated to pre and post award support-including grant writers and fiscal and student support staff. The school offers degrees at the BSW, MSW, and PhD levels, and has an MSW/MPH dual degree program and an MSW/PhD joint program of study as well as a minor in Justice Studies. Presently, the school has ~450 students (Pre-majors, BSWs, MSWs, and PhDs). The school is home to the Integrated Behavioral Health Clinic which is a faculty supervised and student practice clinic that offers free social, emotional, and behavioral health support to under and un-insured persons. The School is a partner in the Missouri Prevention Science Institute with a host of projects in local education and community agencies and the school also hosts the Collaborative for Criminal and Juvenile Justice Priorities.
