Our lab is part of a growing neuromuscular research community through the NextGen Precision Health Initiative and postdoctoral fellows will benefit from a vibrant and highly collaborative lab environment. The Moss lab is focused on identifying molecular, cellular and systems mechanisms driving pathogenesis of the most common inherited peripheral nerve disease, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) with the goal of facilitating therapy development for this debilitating disease. We use a variety of techniques including transgenic mouse models, cell culture, mouse neuromuscular behavioral assays and nerve conduction studies and widefield/confocal/electron microscopy.

Postdoctoral fellows will be an important part of an interdisciplinary team and develop skillsets supporting their transition to independence including mentoring students and grant writing. Underrepresented minorities, women, and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
