Description

The Director of Infrastructure and Operations is a key role at Pacific Premier Bank ensuring that the bank's technology environment meets the strategic and operational needs of the business. The Director of Infrastructure and Operations partners closely with the Information Security team to ensure that the bank's technical infrastructure is fast, reliable, and secure. In addition, this role works closely with other technology and business leaders to execute on Pacific Premier Bank's strategic technology projects. The Director of Infrastructure and Operations will be involved in key technology decisions, partnerships, and architectural decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage the operations of the Network and Voice Engineering organization.



  • The Network and Voice engineering discipline includes network and telecommunication engineers and the Senior Network Architect.
  • Enhance and maintain the bank's network infrastructure (WAN, LAN, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Carriers, Internet, and Telecommunication systems).
  • Provide technical mentoring and professional leadership to the network and telecommunication engineers.



Lead and manage the operations of the Server and Database Engineering team:



  • The Systems Engineering practice includes server and database administration across two data centers and cloud environment.
  • Work closely with Information Security to ensure the environment is secure and meeting the high security standards of the bank.


  • Ensure the security and continuity of the Bank's network, systems, information, and electronic documents. Partners with the Cybersecurity team to ensure that network security platforms, standards and controls are implemented and maintained across the entire network.
  • Participate in the audit and regulatory processes of the Bank's technology operations.
  • Develop and implement technology strategy that will ensure scalability and security across the bank's technical environment. Build system-capabilities that reflect the highest state of technical sophistication consistent with the Bank's strategy and budget. Ensure that the network and server architecture can take advantage of cloud computing capabilities in a secure and reliable manner.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • 10 or more years of increasingly responsible experience as a senior leader of IT Engineering in the Financial Services industry
  • Extensive experience in Network Architecture, Network Security, Cloud architectures, Voice platforms, Switches, Routers, and Firewalls. Experience with CISCO network equipment, Microsoft Server 2022+, Microsoft Exchange/O365.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED:



  • Provide leadership in:
    * Network and Voice Engineering
    * Server and Database Engineering
    * Operations of Technology Infrastructure
    * Technology and Regulatory frameworks


A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base salary or pay for this position is $188,238 to $282,357. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. A discretionary bonus and/or business line incentive may be provided, in addition to a medical and other benefits, dependent on the position.
