Overview

We are looking for dynamic individuals to support our Northern California site assessment and remediation group. Be part of our growing team conducting technical field work during site investigations and remediation. The successful candidate is a self-motivated team contributor. This position is largely field work focused with reporting and office work components as well. This position will help provide the building blocks necessary for advancement to project management and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

    Conducting site assessment/remediation; hydrogeology; and environmental risk management studies and services.
  • Performing field studies, data gathering and sampling activities at sites including soil and groundwater sampling, groundwater flow and hydrogeological data evaluation, chemical data and contaminant fate and transport evaluation, well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring, groundwater and soil remediation evaluation, environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permit acquisition.
  • Design and implementation of remedial solutions
  • Budget and schedule managemen
  • Task management of larger projects,
  • Management of smaller projects
  • Client service and satisfaction
  • Working closely with leadership to deliver projects on schedule and budget.
  • Preparing technical reports and supporting cost estimates


Qualifications

  • Strong skills in conducting field work and reporting
  • Ability to work well in various settings including both office and field
  • Mechanically inclined problem solver
  • Working understanding of project management systems
  • Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word).
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare reports and proposals
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills a must
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in geology, hydrogeology, or civil/environmental engineering or other related science
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
  • Valid Driver's license (required)
  • California PE/or EIT
  • California PG/ or ready to sit for exam within one year

The pay range for this California position is $90,000.00- $120,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via the NV5 careers site.
