Overview

The Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) is responsible for the oversight and successful completion of multiple concurrent Photogrammetric Mapping projects in the transportations sector, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. The Sr. PM will provide solutions to the client while working with diverse and remote project teams. The Sr. PM oversees all phases of multiple projects and is responsible for project performance through effective management of project constraints, including scope, timeline, and budget. The Sr. PM will report status updates to stakeholders on a weekly basis and conduct a retrospective at the close of the project to demonstrate potential process improvements and clearly outline constraint metrics. The SR. PM will also collaborate with other PMs to maximize efficiencies and skillset utilization.

Work Environment:

    Location: NV5 Geospatial Regional Office in Dulles, VA or work from home considered
  • Travel: <15% of the time

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises, plans, and directs project teams performing survey and mapping
  • Manages client relationship
  • Coordinates with Account Managers
  • Negotiates stakeholder requirements
  • Monitors project economics
  • Change management
  • Product requirements, definition, and launch
  • Client status reporting
  • Tracks and enters ETC updates
  • Responsible for project invoicing/collections
  • PM methods and best practices
  • Performs quality assurance and/or certifies accuracy requirements

  • Experience managing survey and mapping projects with Departments of Transportation

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in survey and mapping
  • Competency in procurement, negotiation and finance
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Drive
  • 5+ years' experience in topographic surveys and mapping from aerial imagery and lidar
  • 3+ years' experience in project management and leading teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher with coursework in survey and mapping
  • Registered Professional Surveyor and Mapper and an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience with DOT projects.
  • ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist
  • PMP or other Project Management degree or credential
  • 8+ years' experience in both a technical and professional environment
  • 5+ years' experience in project management and leading teams
  • Risk Management Experience
  • Experience in change management
