Electric Distribution Designer I
Overview NV5 is seeking an experienced electric utility designer to support our growing T&D electrical design group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the design of electric distribution projects in both overhead and underground configurations. The candidate will possess a working knowledge of GO95 and GO128 requirements and preferably SDG&E design and construction standards and have worked in the iCUE software that SDG&E uses. The candidate should have reasonable computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Background as an electrical designer or planner with SDG&E or other comparable experience. In house experience with utility or contractor, or Associates degree or Trade School certification in engineering, drafting, or electrical design is preferred. Background as a journeyman lineman or cable splicer is a plus. The pay range for this California position is $33.00- $40.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
