Job Description

Position: Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Co-op

Primary Location: Celina, TX

Schedule: Full time, on site Starting in September 2024

Reports To: Operations Manager

Compensation: $22 - $29 per hour

Hourly rates are determined by role, level, and location. Rates may also be determined by additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training

In This Role, You Will:

    Assists the team at the Celina, TX plant with their daily activities.
  • Participate in a variety of projects including: program evaluations, operational project implementations, and other Process or EHS tasks.
  • Small project management of productivity, plant reliability, process improvements, and documentation-all with an emphasis on safety.

A Successful Candidate Has:

  • Education: 2nd/ 3rd Year Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Student
  • Minimum GPA: 2.5 / 4.0
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge and experience in AUTOCAD and MS Office preferred. Proficient in all areas of engineering, computers, and engineering programs as expected from a chemical or mechanical engineering student. Good organization and communication skills. Ability to create work instructions and procedure

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • SOP's
    • Plant support-Rx cooking, acid car offloading, etc.
      • Air Compressor, Cooling water pumps, etc.
      • Process change SOP's
      • Critical lock open valve SOP/Implementation
      • Utility equipment starting and operation
      • Winterization preparation SOP's
      • ISO 9001 & 14001 standard quality SOP's
    • CAR support
      • LAS, other CAR equipment operation procedures creation
    • Support other upcoming company initiatives
    • Process
    • Operations and Maintenance Support
    • Operations LAS filter and Final storage strainer change outs
    • Hose standard implementation completion
    • FIX CMMS support
  • Assist Process Eng around narrative creation and project support as available and needed.
  • Emoc and small plant safety and efficiency project support

Physical Occupational Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to work at a computer for prolonged periods
