Position: Sales Account Manager

Primary Location: Home Based - Central South US

Schedule: Monday to Friday, necessary travel

Reports To: Sales Director

Compensation: $110,000- $120,000 + bonus + benefits.

Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific salary range for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, benefits, pension contributions or additional incentives.

In This Role, You Will:

The Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing sales of water chemicals in the Central south of United States (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana). Position requires strong selling skill to develop new sales as well as a solid technical knowledge of product application. The Account Manager will be also responsible for maintaining critical customer contacts and to understand market dynamics and recommending/implementing appropriate actions.

A Successful Candidate Has:

    Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Environmental Sciences with 5-10 years of experience in chemical sales and marketing, preferably within the Water and/or Paper Industry. MBA would be considered a strong asset.
  • Proven verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license is required
  • Ability to travel between 50-70% of his time
  • Strong computer skills (SAP, Office, CRM)

Specific Role Responsibilities

Manage an assigned territory:

  • Develop new sales and gain market info in the Central South of US
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers in the territory to understand needs, gain market knowledge and recommend actions.
  • Ensure relationships with end-use customers are favorable. Take appropriate action if a customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of Chemtrade service.
  • Independently develop/implement specific account by account tactical strategy to exceed contribution/margin plan, focusing on key criteria of volume and selling price.
  • Develop, analyze, and negotiate sales agreements at strategic accounts with input from management in order to meet corporate objectives.
  • Answer customer's requests regarding their operation problems related directly or indirectly to the use of our products.

Communications:

  • Conscientiously review and communicate potential opportunities that add value to the current business which is aligned with the growth strategy.
  • Effectively manage sales processes including effective communication with customers (price change notifications, quotations, etc.) territory management and planning, budgeting and forecasting, call reports, expenses, etc

Other:

  • Proactively cooperate with operations, distribution, customer service, technical and quality functions to resolve customer issues and successfully implement business strategy.
  • Understands all costs components which impact cost of doing business with the customer.
  • Work/Coordinate projects to develop new business or support our business along with the Sales/Marketing Departments.
