We have a great opportunity for a Quality Specialist at our Woodville, Wisconsin location
-In cooperation with other departments, assist in completion of corrective and preventive actions arising from customer complaints, audits, and internal breakdowns in the quality system. Provide written responses to customers as required. -Coordinate cross functional teams and provide support for PPAP packages to customers as required including developing Process Flow Charts, FMEA, Control Plan, Gage R&R, and Process Capability Studies for both buildings. -Ensure all precision measurement equipment is calibrated as scheduled. Perform internal calibrations of linear measurement devices. -In coordination with other departments, ensure proper document control is maintained throughout the organization. Assist in creation and modification of controlled documents. -Provide production inspection support as needed to determine acceptability of questionable product, including documentation of quality standards and sampling plans as needed. The Quality Specialist is the key floor support for all quality, safety and environment systems. -Conduct internal product, quality system (process approach), manufacturing process, and safety audits including maintaining proper documentation. -Operation of precision measurement equipment such as Micro Vu Optical Comparator, Burst Testing, and Instron Force Tester. -Support of the 5S implementation and sustaining of the system. -Other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager. Qualifications: -Requires a technical degree in related field, ASQ Certification, or equivalent work experience. -Excellent communication and relationship building skills with both internal and external customers -Ability to work well with Microsoft software -Hands on experience with inspection and test equipment, preferably Force Testers and Optical Comparators such as a Micro Vu. -Background and understanding of first article inspection and PPAPs. -Proficient reading and interpreting blueprints -Excellent analytical and decision making skills a plus -Strong verbal and written skills -ISO9001 experience required, TS16949, ISO13485 and ISO14001 experience preferred -Able to work in a fast paced team environment and fulfilling objectives with minimum direct supervision.
