Analyst

The ESOC is a 24/7 operations center tasked with monitoring security systems throughout the SCE territory. The ESOC receives and responds to numerous alarms, and handles multiple phone calls daily. Contracted Security Analysts are assigned to the ESOC 24/7 and are the first line support on security-related incidents. The Security Analysts interface with SCE personnel and key business units throughout SCE. SCE-employed personnel provide oversight of the ESOC and make key operational decisions for security operations. The ESOC is the central communications hub serving the needs of SCE Corporate Security. One of the primary functions of the ESOC is to maintain compliance with all regulations established under the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). NERC's mission is to ensure the effective and efficient reduction of risks to the reliability and security of the grid.
