Senior Technician Electronics Job ID JR101336 Date posted 12/02/2024 The mission of the Instrumentation Department is to develop state-of-the-art instrumentation required for experimental research programs at Brookhaven Lab and to maintain the expertise and facilities in specialized high technology areas essential for this work. Development of facilities is motivated by present Brookhaven research programs and anticipated future directions of research. Our work has a significant impact on programs throughout the world that rely on state-of-the-art radiation detectors and readout electronics. Position Description: The Instrumentation Department has an opening for an Electronics Technician in the Electronics Packaging, Integration & Systems Group. The selected candidate will work on assignments along with other group members and play an essential role supporting a broad range of technical projects, including electronic designs which are typically based on surface mount technology (SMT). May direct and coordinate the work efforts of other technical support personnel assigned to a specific project. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
