Mechanical Engineer Job ID JR101153 Date posted 05/02/2024 The Physical Science and Research Operations Division (PSROD) of the NSLS-II currently has a full-time opportunity for a Beamline Mechanical Engineer. The selected candidate will lead and manage engineering and development of assigned engineering tasks through modeling, analysis, creating specifications, arranging fabrication, and procurement with participation in assembly, tests, installation, and commissioning. Essential Duties: *Responsible for planning and execution of major beamline engineering projects within PSROD that encompass significant scope and complexity. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline and at least 7 (seven) years of related experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * A Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline with extensive related experience is preferred. PE license is a plus but not required. Other Information:
