Have experience working with global customers and prospects? Good news! 1WorldSync is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team.
1WorldSync is the industry leader in product content management. With approximately 600 employees across the US, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, and the UK, we're seeking a Sales Engineer to support our growing global team.
Reporting to our Director, Go to Market Strategy , the Sales Engineer will drive sales activity, and revenue for all 1WorldSync solutions. Working directly with sales, this role must provide world-class demonstrations of 1WorldSync solutions based on the business needs of the prospective or existing customer. This role will effectively articulate the 1WorldSync value and directly influence sales opportunities to closure. As Sales Engineer at 1WorldSync, responsibilities include the following:
  • Effectively demonstrate 1WorldSync Commerce Platform solutions to prospective and existing customers
  • Lead onsite or virtual positioning engagements including direct demos, customer engagement rollouts, marketing webinars and conferences
  • Align to the 1WorldSync GTM Presales process and methodology
    • Develop fluency in product and positioning outlines for internal and external alignment
    • Document and present market feedback to strengthen GTM processes and Product roadmap
    • Enforce sustainable practices ensuring proper teams and resources are consistently leveraged
  • Drive sales closure for 1WorldSync Commerce Platform solutions
    • Consult with sales post-discovery to align relevant solutions and go-forward engagement tactics
    • Support account management in selecting available templates and collateral
    • Present to our customers highly effective product demonstrations
    • Drive and document post-mortem discussions
  • Liaise across Product, Marketing, Professional Services, Solution Partners, Support, Account Management, Business Development and Technology teams as directed
  • Support cross-organizational alignment on key positioning/project/program rollouts
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of experience interfacing directly with CPG and foodservice industry organizations relative to item data and content syndication work efforts
  • 3+ years of extensive customer interaction experience with expertise in presenting to customers with proven success
  • 2+ years of experience with sales process, sales strategies or peripheral visibility to sales cycles in a technology support role
  • 2+ years of experience in industries related to our key customer verticals, CPG Grocery, CPG General Merchandise, Hardlines, Healthcare, Foodservice and other Industry Verticals
  • 2+ years of experience supporting data quality strategies within the context of key recipient customers
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with large customers to assess requirements and understand needs
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Background in brick-and-mortar retail, e-commerce, and related item-setup operations
  • Business Intelligence - the ability to translate market insights into actionable input to the Product team
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • Ability to translate corporate strategy, business requirements, and customer expectations into data strategy
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to participate in multiple concurrent efforts and/or sales cycles and initiatives
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication and relationship-building skills

Additional Details:
  • This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days per week at our Chicago headquarters location.
  • This role requires the candidate to have the authority to work in, and be located in the US.
  • This position requires up to 25% travel.
