Sigma Defense is seeking a qualified Joint Expeditionary Tactical Trainer to serve as Joint Expeditionary Tactical Trainer Lead at Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Atlantic (EWTGL) in Virginia Beach, VA. The individual in this role will perform JETT war game director duties as well as coordinate with other commands within FST simulation center.

The ideal candidate is a TS/SCI-cleared individual with experience developing training scenarios, tactical/operational planning, and synthetic/live training exercises. Additionally, he/she will have three or more years' experience on a Strike Group (SG) or Numbered Fleet Commander (NFC) staff (or equivalent DoD staff involving JETT.

This is a contingent position that is pending award of contract. This means that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization.

Requirements
  • 3 years of experience on an SG or NFC staff or equivalent DoD staff involving JETT.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the following:
    • 1. Technical lead and subject matter expert for respective task requirements (e.g. Academics, Warfare Area(s), Synthetic, Live, or Joint Training).
    • 2. Developing training scenarios, tactical/operational planning, synthetic/live training exercises/event execution, lessons learned and after-action reporting.
    • 3. Navy and or Defense training operations, policy, doctrine, systems, and staff procedures.
    • 4. Adapting to a fast-paced, team-based environment and manage team performance.
    • 5. Handling multiple priorities and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity/deliverables.
    • 6. Conducting fleet training analysis/assessment to identify gaps, training needs and solutions.
    • 7. Team and or project leader.
    • 8. Public speaker and presentation skills.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Top Secret security clearance or higher. A TS/SCI clearance level is required for this position.
  • A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree is 2 additional years of Resource Band experience.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

Support Tasks:

  • (a) Contractor shall perform JETT war game director duties to include: (i) Perform actions necessary to ensure personnel, equipment, and processes are managed per exercise design documents and specifications for exercise or training events.
  • (b) Coordinate with the other commands within FST (CSG4, TTGL, II Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) simulation center, MAGTF staff training program (MSTP), etc.) to ensure interoperability and supportability between the individual and collective systems.
  • (c) Provide synthetic training program expertise and advice to commander, EWTGL.
  • (d) Provide support as JETT war-game director for locally sponsored exercises.
  • (e) Utilize JSAF, MTWS and other M&S systems in the training environment.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $115,000 annually.
