Job Description

Vice President, eTrading Strategies, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, Los Angeles, CA:

Establish Risk Controls to effectively manage the risk of automated trading system. Establish effective risk mitigation within the system to effectively manage RBC risk and our institutional customers' risks associated with PowerPlay. Handle algorithm generation from start to finish including logic creation, risk mitigation rules, historical analysis, trade execution and establish automation with IT resources. Provide service to institutional customers to expand marketability and liquidity of their offerings. Improve the view of the desk into customer positions and activity. Evaluate and monitor pricing models performance to ensure it generates stable and precise predictions. Establish e-trading programs infrastructure to provide a robust solution for scaling and allowing more sophisticated algorithms. Collaborate with Management, Desk Heads, and Traders to obtain knowledge and further refine pricing strategies and universe definitions.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $175,000.00 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Master's degree in Predictive Analytics, Data Analytics, Financial Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of work experience in a data engineering role in the financial industry.

Must have 4 years experience in:

  • A front office trading position on an institutional trading desk establishing algorithmic eTrading strategies;
  • Managing an algorithmic trading platform that trades $Billions in volume per year;
  • Trading or analyzing fixed income products;
  • Data infrastructure/framework building and UI development for connection and interaction;
  • Extracting and integrating complicated data from SQL database and Bloomberg terminal;
  • Manipulating and analyzing transactional data;
  • Creating and automating informative dashboards;
  • Machine learning and deep learning models; and,
  • Python, SQL, Dash, Excel, and Grafana.

Certification: Must have the following licenses: Series 7, Series 52, and Series 63.

The base salary for this job is $175,000 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
