Job Summary Job Description RBC Capital Markets seeks a Director, Financial Institutions Group in New York, NY to collect and process economic and statistical data using economic techniques and econometric methods to analyze sector trends and impact on current and prospective clients. Compile and analyze economic data to provide guidance on economic phenomena, and forecast business, industry and economic conditions. Provide guidance on economic relationships and insights to RBCCM and its clients. Prepare pitch books for client including macroeconomics and sector-specific trends. Develop economic and financial models to analyze market trends and advise current/ prospective clients on actual or prospective mergers and acquisition transactions and corporate finance offerings. Monitor economic, industrial, and corporate developments. Evaluate regional and local economic trends to understand impact on current and prospective current clients. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in the financial services industry. 3 years of experience using quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, experience with investment banking products including equity, debt, convertible securities and mergers and acquisitions, and managing a large investor calling effort with business development. Series 79 license required within 60 days of employment. The wage for this job is $300,000. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
