Overview

To meet growing demand, the Civil Engineering group within the Power Sector at TRC is seeking a Civil Engineer III (Senior) to work closely with a diverse team of civil engineers, designers, and permitting specialists on renewable energy development projects across the country


Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering duties associated with the development of solar, wind, and battery storage sites
  • Develop permit-level and construction level site plans, stormwater management design, hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), and stormwater drainage reports
  • Participate and Lead multi-disciplinary engineering and permitting team to execute small and large scale renewable projects for developer clients
  • May be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Prepare proposals and estimates for new opportunities
  • Assist with project management including budgets, schedules, and client relations
  • Interface with local planning boards and state agencies
  • Serve as Engineer of Record for projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 7 or more years of civil engineering experience (preferably in solar / wind development / land development)
  • Experience navigating NY Permitting Requirements (Local AHJ, ORES, etc)
  • Experience leading 94-c and Art VII permitting projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in site development, grading, stormwater design, erosion & sediment control
  • Experience in AutoDesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD Storm and Sanitary Analysis, and/or HydroCAD software
  • Responsive attitude when interacting with staff, peers, management, and clients

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
