Overview

TRC is seeking a highly motivated Roadway Engineer for our growing Civil Engineering Services practice in Texas.

The ideal candidate will have experience in roadway design on municipal projects in Texas (drainage experience is a plus), be a team player, and be enthusiastic in working with other engineers, project managers, and other technical staff assisting with planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects, such as the design of rural, suburban, and urban roadways.


Responsibilities

  • Assisting with Design and construction support of municipal roadway projects such as rural, suburban, and urban roadways.
  • Support the production of project plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates (PS&E).
  • Be involved in all project aspects including design/study development and site/field visits during design and construction and work independently.
  • Efficiently produce quality deliverables while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and public agencies.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor entry level staff and be responsible for entry level staff job tasks.
  • Ability to provide QA/QC on road design projects.
  • Ability to assist in marketing efforts to pursue future work.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5-15 years of municipal roadway experience (drainage experience is a plus).
  • Professional Engineer License in Texas is a plus
  • Experience using computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents including InRoads and OpenRoads and MicroStation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be flexible, well-organized, accountable, and dependable.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
