Overview

TRC is seeking a Senior Natural Resources Project Manager to join our Planning, Permitting, and Licensing Practice. The successful candidate will report to TRC's Albuquerque, New Mexico team. The Senior Natural Resources Project Manager will have an emphasis in environmental planning and permitting for a variety of projects and clients in the areas of renewable energy, electric generation and transmission, energy transition, and oil and gas.

  • The successful applicant will be involved in a wide variety of projects including oil and gas pipelines, other products pipelines, municipal, transportation, electrical transmission, and renewable energy generation and storage projects.
  • The successful candidate will support development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of key permitting programs to support quality and strategic growth plans.
  • Managing and permitting projects at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Author technical reports.
  • Consultation with federal and state agencies for project compliance.
  • Be able to effectively coordinate field work, direct and support other technical staff, interact with clients, stakeholders, and contractors, and manage projects, budgets, invoicing, and schedules.
  • Abide by Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field, and 10 to 12 years of post-degree experience.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply environmental compliance and permitting regulations of applicable federal regulatory agencies, including, FERC, USACE, USFWS, and EPA.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply environmental compliance and permitting regulations of applicable state regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical communication skills are mandatory.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude working under aggressive schedules.
  • The candidate must have a strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • The ability to prepare clear and concise reports, procedures, correspondence, and other written materials is also required.
  • Experience managing Projects and teams in New Mexico.

A preferred candidate will hold one or more of the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree or above in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field, and over 10 years of post-degree experience.
  • Certified Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS)
  • Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
