Overview

Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.


Responsibilities

TRC is seeking a mid-level Geologist, Engineer or Environmental Scientist to join our Baton Rouge, Louisiana Engineering, Construction, and Remediation team. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers and technical leads performing remediation, investigation, monitoring, facility compliance, permitting, process, and other environmental activities to serve our clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and personable individual with an eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and a desire to be part of a growing and high-performing team.

  • Support environmental assessment, remediation, and compliance projects in the field and office.
  • Perform a variety of field work including environmental assessments, environmental investigations, site inspections, feasibility tests, remedial implementation, and subcontractor oversight.
  • Interpret geological and hydrogeological and chemical data.
  • Support management of large and complex tasks to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Prepare and review technical reports (e.g. feasibility studies, work plans, and reports in support of environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects).
  • Assist during proposal development, including preparation of work scopes and budgets.
  • Travel on short and long term assignments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience, Environmental Scientist or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 2-5 years of experience in environmental consulting with focus on investigation and remediation projects.
  • Knowledge of Louisiana State and Federal environmental regulations.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate (with an up-to-date 8-hour annual refresher course certification) preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills allowing for positive internal, client, and contractor relationships.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
