Overview

TRC is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienists / Environmental Technicians to join our Safety and Industrial Hygiene practice in the Tri-County (Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach) areas to perform indoor air quality assessments and surveys and abatement oversight for asbestos, lead-based paint and other industrial hygiene projects. The Florida Mold Assessor and AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector certifications are required.


Responsibilities

  • Perform hazardous building material inspections for asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs.
  • Perform indoor air quality inspections, water intrusion investigation and mold assessments.
  • Radon Testing
  • Perform project oversight and coordination with contractors.
  • Operate and maintain instruments including sampling pumps, calibrators, and microscopes.
  • Collect samples as required by various regulatory agencies, complete data sheets, chain of custody forms, and prepare samples for shipment to laboratory.
  • Maintain daily logs of activities related to project work.
  • Interact and communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agency representatives.
  • Read project specifications and drawings.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Travel throughout Florida and Southeast Region of the US

Qualifications

  • 3 - 10 years of experience in the hazardous building materials, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene industry is required.
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Science or Engineering related field.
  • Must be able to read project specifications and drawings.
  • Prior experience in various aspects of abatement projects is required.
  • The following certifications are required: Florida Mold Assessor, and AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector
  • Florida Radon Measurement Technician license is strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to various work schedules and situations related to emergency response scenarios.
  • Intuitive and creative thinker.
  • Understanding of their surroundings and reason the services are being provided. A consultative demeanor and ability to work with customers / clients and offers solutions when needed.
  • Work as a team player.
  • Ability to carry and climb ladders and being able to use hand and power tools.
  • Be able to wear a respirator, safety harness and other safety equipment as needed
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen and motor vehicle records check.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $74,000.00 - USD $94,265.00 /Yr.
