Overview

TRC is seeking a Mid-Level Civil Engineer with excellent Civil 3D grading design skills for our growing Geo-Environmental and Civil Engineering team. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth in the areas of site civil design, permitting and construction quality assurance. As a Mid-Level Civil Engineer, you will apply your knowledge and develop new skills while working on challenging projects located throughout the US to provide support for permitting, design, and construction projects primarily for industrial, utility, renewable energy, and solid waste management clients.


Responsibilities

  • Interpret ordinances and regulations to determine project permitting and design requirements
  • Perform site civil design including facility layout, grading design and volume computations for a variety of solid waste containment facilities, stormwater management facilities and renewable energy facilities;
  • Utilize Civil 3D for developing design grades, performing volume computations, computing volumes and quantities, cutting engineering cross sections and generating coordinate geometry tables and utilize AutoCAD for development of project specific details and formatting of drawings;
  • Utilize HydroCAD to prepare analyses and designs for the permitting and construction of stormwater management systems on a wide variety of projects
  • Prepare construction and industrial stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs);
  • Develop permit level and construction level plan sets, permit applications, project specifications and construction documentation reports and plan sets;
  • Serve as a resident project representative on construction projects and utilize knowledge gained on future design projects;
  • Mentor and delegate tasks to junior level staff, especially on use of Civil 3D for site design/grading;
  • Develop/possess strong technical writing, data management, organizational and verbal communication skills;
  • Follow safety protocol and established quality assurance and quality control processes;

Travel (typically 15-20%) throughout the US


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
  • 2 years (minimum) experience utilizing Civil 3D for design of site grading projects
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Current driver's license and good driving record
  • Experience with HydroCAD and stormwater management design is a plus but not required

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $62,000.00 - USD $88,836.00 /Yr.
