Improve the overall technology environment, and capabilities within McLane MBIS to maximize business value. Lead the Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice, framework to serve as a guide on how to build a holistic view of how the technology strategy aligns with the enterprise business strategy. Provide thought leadership in multiple domains of enterprise architecture (Business, Data, Application/Solution, Technical, Security), respected as an experienced architecture practitioner. Lead architecture governance, mature the EA practice, and contribute to the business and digital transformation efforts at McLane.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Establish the EA framework for McLane MBIS as a guide and governance, including Business, Data, Application/Solution and Technology architecture.
  • Develop the implementation and governance process for the Architecture framework.
  • Lead the architecture risk assessments and review meetings to ensure that architecture designs developed align with the enterprise technology ecosystem and standards.
  • Define, establish, prioritize, and drive adoption through influence across the MBIS and other stakeholders including architecture principles, models, frameworks, patterns, and guidelines.
  • Set the governing standards for technology, integration/design patterns, methodology, and tooling used in the development or the deployment of solutions to the McLane production environment.
  • Engage and lead teams through technology options - balancing security, fit for business purpose and cost vs benefit. This includes third party integrations, software as a service, infrastructure as a service and other cloud solutions.
  • Provide forward looking perspective for the application portfolio, technology stack - how to best prioritize technical debt, where we should invest new, consolidate, replace, and retire technology solutions based on where the organization is heading. With this information - influence budget planning process and technology investment decisions across MBIS.
  • Mentors team members on design, architecture practices and guidelines.
  • Define the EA services, metrics and contribute to the EA practice maturity.


MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:



  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Ten or more years of diversified Information Technology experience required.
  • Six or more years of experience in hands-on Enterprise, Business, and/or IT Solution Architect capacity preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience leading and managing an Enterprise Architecture function preferred.
  • Possesses highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, and has the passion and energy to lead, evangelize, and develop the EA organization into a world-class capability in the company.
  • Ability to manage an architecture portfolio of projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
  • Possesses leaning agility, business, and technical acumen.
  • Possesses effective communication, cross-functional team collaborative leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Exposure and experience in Application Portfolio Rationalization, IT Strategy Alignment, and broad technology areas such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer
  • Relationship Management (CRM), Infrastructure, Security, Software Development and Business Analytics is a plus.
