Position Summary |
The purpose of this position is to contribute significantly to an
NIH-funded project focused on the comprehensive characterization of binaural hearing abilities of adults across a wide age range, both with and without hearing loss. These abilities are assessed using parallel psychophysical and electrophysiological approaches. The Fellow is expected to become an integral part of the research team and to play a senior role in ensuring that on-going studies proceed efficiently and that new studies are designed and implemented with scientific rigor. It is also expected that the Fellow will contribute to the analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of project findings. At the same time, it is anticipated that the Fellow will identify and pursue focus areas within the overall project scope that can be cultivated into independent lines of investigation. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
PhD, AuD or equivalent in auditory science or related discipline. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience in human subject testing. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Competency in behavioral and/or electrophysiological experimentation. Familiarity with audiology and/or hearing disorders. Matlab programming skills. Good oral and written communication abilities. |
