Please consider joining our amazing NNP team while we move forward with a state of the art new unit build. We will have 16 individual rooms with 3 capable of housing twins. We provide 24 hour NNP in house coverage in two NICUs. Our main campus and level 3 NICU is at Waukesha Memorial. Services provided there include iNO, total body cooling and neonatal transport. Our level 2 unit is at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital where we care for neonates 32 weeks and over who may be briefly ventilated.

Schedule Details:24 hour shifts to cover Birthing center and NICU at WMH and OMH

A registered nurse with advanced education and training in care of at-risk and high-risk neonates. Responsible for the nature and quality of nursing care of critically ill neonates.Under the direction of a physician the NNP manages neonatal patients using collaboration, consultation, and direct care. The NNP is involved with the education of nursing staff, residents and students. Including:



  • Maintains credentialswith procedural privileges through the medical staff officesat WMH and OMH.
  • Maintains Neonatal NCC certification
  • Participates in multidisciplinary mortality and morbidity rounds
  • Participates and coordinates as needed in research activities within the NICU.
  • Provides procedural support to the ED fornewborn/infant code blue.



Qualifications:



  • Displays a positive attitude about themselves, work and staff.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills.
  • Meets all necessary competencies within 6 months of hire.
  • Possesses computer skills.
  • BLS and NRP upon hire
  • Master Degree required
